Early 19th century map of the world as known to the Ancients
A map for teaching what the Classical Greek and Roman civilizations knew about the world’s geography. I am unable to locate the exact source for this; while there are many variants over many decades, none I found matches. The engraver is given at lower right as “Neele”, who was active in the early 1800s. The map was sold to me as 1763, but that is very doubtful.
