1754 large didactic map of Asia
From “Atlas Methodique” published by Nourse & Vaillant in London, 1754. Detailed coastlines but nothing in the continental interior other than the largest rivers and names of nations. This was so that students could fill in the details themselves to learn from. Palairet tutored the children of George II and George III, and represented the Dutch Estates-General.

One fold, as issued. 2 cm tear in upper margin not extending into map. A couple of other shorter tears or chips in the margins. The reverse of one half is moderately foxed, and it carries over into the right margin, with some in the left as well. The map itself has little foxing. One fold, as issued. Light soiling Browning around edges. Strong impression.
