18th century map of the sea around Sicily
Matted nautical chart of the Mediterranean around Sicily, extending from the coast of modern Tunisia to Greece. Publisher and publication date are unclear: Clive Burden attributes an identical copy to Mount & Page in 1747 from their “English Pilot Part Three”, but Old World Auctions listed one in 2017, apparently identical, attributed to John Seller circa 1677. Compass rose; rhumb lines. As of 1771, The English Pilot still included this map.
